The Driving Standards Agency is to stop publishing the multiple choice questions and answers used in theory tests, road safety minister Mike Penning has announced.
From January 1st 2012, The DSA will create theory tests using questions that will not be published. The idea behind this is that new drivers will have to learn the principles behind driving theory rather than just learning the answers.
The move follows the introductions of the independant driving phase into the driving test and the DSA's decision to stop publishing test routes online from October 2010, in order to prevent learners from just learning test routes and to better assess their overall driving ability.
